Overview

Permanent land sites are fixed locations with one or more instruments. These instruments are always maintained at this site and continue to collect measurements even after the field campaign ends. Examples include permanent towers (such as FLUXNET or ASOS/AWOS), NEXRAD radar sites, AERONET network sites, and airport observation stations.
