Next Generation Radar

The NEXRAD (WSR-88D) is an advanced operational weather radar. The NEXRAD radar system consists of 160 radars across the United States and overseas locations with each having a range of 250 nautical miles. They are operated by the National Weather Service, Air Force Weather Agency, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
