Overview

The Convair-580 (CV-580) is a twin-engine, turboprop aircraft that has been utilized for research purposes. Multiple agencies own and operate a CV-580, including the University of Washington and the National Research Council of Canada. The CV-580 has a maximum altitude of around 24,000 ft and can carry a payload of around 5000 lbs. Flights can last up to five hours.
