Overview

The Electra is a low-wing, medium-range, turbo-propeller aircraft. It has been modified to accommodate many instruments for atmospheric research such as the one operated by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). The Electra has a payload capacity of 6,000 lbs, has a flight endurance of 6 hrs, and can reach a maximum altitude of 25,000 ft.
