HD-SP2
Humidified-Dual Single Particle Soot Photometer

The Humidified-Dual Single Particle Soot Photometer (HD-SP2) is a modification of the Single Particle Soot Photometer (SP2). Two SP2 instruments are operated in parallel and one is humidified to create the HD-SP2. This instrument was developed by Droplet Measurement Technologies and has been operated by NOAA on the NASA DC-8 aircraft. This instrument measures the black carbon mass content of atmospheric particles.
